Meet Tom

Writer. Pastor. Photographer. Lifelong learner.

For more than three decades, Tom Lance served as a pastor, walking alongside people through faith, questions, change, and the ordinary challenges of life. Those years shaped the way he writes today: with a pastor’s heart, a storyteller’s eye, and a belief that the deepest truths should be understandable and livable.

Life changed dramatically after a traumatic brain injury in 2016. The years that followed required Tom to relearn, adapt, and discover new ways of moving forward. Through it all, his wife of 46 years, Cindy, has been by his side. Her love, strength, and extraordinary care have been central to his recovery and to the life they continue to build together. Along the way, photography became a creative outlet and a new way of seeing the world. The experience deepened Tom’s curiosity, resilience, and determination to keep learning.
